Working at home is becoming popular nowadays as it helps a number of people to perform their duties and responsibilities within the confinement of their of house. This essay will explain my opinion about the positive and negative impact of this trend.

First of all, work at home give opportunities to people who cannot work outside their home because of certain reasons such as people living outside the city, mothers who are taking care of their young children, family members watching their sick relatives, people with disability, etc yet has the qualification and skills to do the job. It is apparent that the growth of call centers hiring these people is doing a great job as they are giving them the chance to earn money to support and provide income for their family as well as boosting their self confidence and morale.

Secondly, employees working in companies are also given the privilage to continue and complete their task at home which is, in a way, beneficial for both the employee and the company. This allows them to meet deadlines and lessen the amount of stress at work and increase the companies profit.

On the other hand, some employees abuse their time because of this privilage. They delay their work while in the office thinking that they can perform their task at home. However, there are circumstances that they forget to do their work until they are piled up with so many things making them a liability for the company. For call center agents working at home, the most common problem is maintaining adherance while a few do illegal activities like fraud because of less supervision.

In conclusion, working at home is a win-win situation for both the employee and the company as long as this is not abused.
